FAQ-Do ADSL and VDSL Interface Cards of AR Routers Use the Same Chip

Publication Date:  2015-04-22 Views:  383 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Do ADSL and VDSL Interface Cards of AR Routers Use the Same Chip?
Solution
Both ADSL and VDSL interface cards use Broadcom chips, but they use different DSL sockets.
  • A VDSL interface can roll back to the ADSL mode and be used as an ADSL interface card. (It supports only Annex A/M in ADSL mode.)
  • An ADSL interface card cannot be used as a VDSL interface card.
