Query disk information by using basic input/output system (BIOS) programs when the server configures no redundant array independent disks (RAID) controller card.

You have entered the BIOS. For details, see Entering the BIOS.

Data

Data preparation is not required for this operation.

Procedure:

Query information about the hard disks on a rack server.

1.  Choose Advanced > IDE Configuration, and press Enter.

The IDE Configuration screen is displayed, showing information about all hard disks. See Figure 1.

2.  Select Serial ATA Port x and press Enter.

The Serial ATA Port x screen is displayed, showing information about the specified hard disk.

Query information about the hard disks on an E9000 server.

1.  Choose Advanced > SATA Configuration, and press Enter.

The SATA Configuration screen is displayed, showing information about all hard disks. See Figure 2.

2.  Select Serial ATA Port x and press Enter.

The Serial ATA Port x screen is displayed, showing information about the specified hard disk.
