Issue Description
Applicable Models:
eSpace IPC5701-P and eSpace IPC2701-P.

Symptom:

After a dome IPC is wall-mounted, the indicator mapping the switch port to which the dome IPC is connected is off, indicating that the dome IPC is faulty.
Handling Process
Step 1 Remove the protective shield, mount the IPC again, power on the IPC, and check the power indicator.
  • If the power indicator is on, go to Step 2.
  • If the power indicator is still off, remove the IPC from the wall, remove the network cable, power on the IPC again, and check the power indicator.
− If the power indicator is on, go to Step 2.
− If the power indicator is still off, the power supply is abnormal. Contact your service provider for assistance.

Step 2 Check whether the RJ45 connector of the network cable and the RJ45 connector are in good contact.
  • If yes, contact your service provider for assistance.
  • If no, make the network cables again.
Note:
Network cables can be made in two ways: cross-connected cables and parallel cables. Making network cables must comply with the 568A or 568B standard.

Step 3 Check whether the fault is rectified.
  • If yes, no further operation is required.
  • If no, contact your service provider for assistance.
----End
Root Cause
The possible causes are as follows:
