Issue Description
After the TP3118S is installed, video flashes occur on its HD displays.
Handling Process
Step 1 Share a presentation during a conference.
  • If the presentation is properly displayed, the issue is caused by a problem in the camera or its connection with the TP3118S. In this case, check the camera and its connection with the TP3118S.
  • If the issue persists, go to step 2.
Step 2 Check the display settings.

1. Check the HD display specifications to see the output mode supported by the displays.
This step uses a Panasonic TV with a resolution of 1080p 60Hz as an example.

2. Log in to the telepresence host web interface as the superadmin user. On the displayed page, right-click Tri-Lens Camera and choose Settings from the shortcut menu. Set Video resolution to 1080p 60Hz.

3. Log in to the codec web interface. Choose System Settings > Input/Output > Video Output. Set Video resolution to 1080p and Refresh rate to 60Hz. Then click Save.
  • If the presentation is properly displayed, the issue is rectified and no further action is required.
  • If the issue persists, go to step 3.
NOTE:
The value of Video resolution on the telepresence host web interface must be the same as that of Video resolution on the codec web interface.

Step 3 Log in to the telepresence host web interface as the superadmin user. On the displayed page, right-click Video Ports and choose Control from the shortcut menu.

These settings enable the videos captured by the camera to be directly transmitted to displays rather than being transmitted through codecs.
  • If the presentation is properly displayed, the issue is caused by a codec problem. In this case, locate and rectify the codec problem.
  • If the issue persists, go to step 4.
Step 4 Use a DVI cable to connect the camera to one of the HD displays to directly output the videos captured by the camera to the HD display.
  • If the presentation is properly displayed, the issue is caused by a codec connection problem. In this case, verify that the codecs are correctly connected.
  • If the issue persists, contact the R&D department in Huawei HQ.
Root Cause
The camera is not correctly connected.
