Handling Process

Possible reasons can be:

The IP address assigned by the PPPoE server is the same as the IP address of another port on the client.

Solution:

Change the conflicted port IP address on the client or run the remote address command to change the port IP address of the client on the server.

All the addresses in the address pool on the PPPoE server have been assigned to clients.

Solution:

Run the network (IP address pool view) command in the IP address pool view to increase the number of IP addresses in the IP address pool.

But none of this much.

Check configuration

interface Dialer1

 link-protocol ppp

 ppp authentication-mode chap

 ppp chap user so10004

 ppp chap password simple g88QhIWA

command “ppp authentication-mode chap” was configured under interface Dialer, after configured this command, the client will authenticate the other side, , but currently, AR1220 works as PPPoE client. This CHAP authentication caused the server side to close the PPP session.

Root Cause
