Can another hard disk in the enclosure become a coffer disk?

Publication Date:  2016-11-28 Views:  1720 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Can another hard disk in the enclosure become a coffer disk?
Solution
No.

Coffer disks are used to store important data for the storage system, including configuration data, event information, and log information. When the storage system encounters an unexpected power failure, data in cache is written onto coffer disks. If a coffer disk is replaced by another hard disk in the enclosure, the storage system cannot run normally.
