This document describes how to configure HyperMetro for Huawei SAN storage with native multipathing software provided by various operating systems.

General Format Conventions

Format

Description

Times New Roman

The main body must be written using Times New Roman.

Book Antiqua

Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, and Block Label must be written using Book Antiqua.

Times New Roman

CAUTION, NOTE, and TIP must be written using Times New Roman.

Terminal Display

Information displayed on screens must be written using Terminal Display. In addition, the part that users input in the information displayed on screens must be written in boldface.

Boldface

File paths must be in boldface, such as C:\Program Files\Huawei.

The keywords of a command line are in boldface.

Italic

Command arguments are in italics.

Change History

Changes between document issues are cumulative. The latest document issue contains all the changes made in earlier issues.

Issue 01 (2016-12-30)

This issue is the first official release.

Issue 02 (2017-03-30)

This issue is the second official release and includes the following changes:

  • Modified the document template.
  • Added the need to restart the host after configuring the rule in chapter VMware.
  • Modified supported system versions in chapter Oracle VM.

Issue 03 (2017-08-10)

This issue is the third official release and includes the following changes:

  • Added the description of the initiator parameters to chapter Impact and Restrictions.
  • Added the HyperMetro working modes to chapter Impact and Restrictions.
  • Deleted the restriction that only Fibre Channel networking is supported from chapter Impact and Restrictions.
  • Deleted the supported operating system versions from each chapter. Added the link for querying the versions in the compatibility list.
