Firmware Upgrade without downtime ?!?!?

Issue Description
The customer want to make an upgrade without down time. and he provides to as a "solution" .
He has said however, could a couple of controllers be updated in another system and then swapped over into their live system?
They could be swapped at different times and therefore, no down time.

Unfortunately this solution it’s impossible to realize because  the firmware from  new inserted controller will be synced auto with existing controller receiving old firmware version.
We have in all controllers  one function “auto sync” and  there is no command to disable the auto sync action, the method from below is impossible.

Handling Process
We have 2 option for Firmware Upgrade:

Option 1:
Upgrade Existing System with scheduled down time – Upgrade service free of charge from Huawei.
Huawei strongly recommends this option -  scheduling down time (approx 4 hours) on the existing system and performing the required upgrade in one scheduled work period. Huawei still offers to provide the service to carry out the upgrade following this method free of charge to Trafficmaster.

Option 2:
Migration to a Loan System, Upgrade Original  System, Migrate back to Original System – Huawei Service Charge $XXXX
This option is NOT recommended by Huawei and is considered to provide significant periods of system degradation and risk of uncontrolled system outage.
An outline of the steps and tasks are shown below:-
•         Loan System located and tested by Huawei
•         Space, Power and connectivity will need to be assigned in the Trafficmaster Data Center.
•         Huawei to Install, Test & Configure Loan System on siteo   @ 1 day activity on site
•         Staged replication of the data to be initiated from existing Original System to Loan System
o   Estimated 4 uninterrupted days to replicate the data.
o   Performance of system may be degraded (slowed down) during this period.
o   System is stressed during this period, therefore at high risk of system interruption
•         Transition of live traffic to the Loan System
o   Will require to be planned and carried out in conjunction with Trafficmaster
o   Will require a service outage of up to 90 minutes to transition all services.
•         Upgrade & Testing to be performed on Original System   @1 day activity on site
•         Staged replication of the data to be initiated from Loan System back to Original System
o   Estimated 4 uninterrupted days to replicate the data.
o   Performance of system may be degraded (slowed down) during this period.
o   System is stressed during this period, therefore at high risk of system interruption
•         Transition of live traffic back to Original System
o   Will require to be planned and carried out in conjunction with Trafficmaster
o   Will require a service outage of up to 90 minutes to transition all services.
•         Testing and verification of Original System
•         Data wiping on the Loan System
•         De-install and removal of the Loan System
