All VMs can not start up after system power on.
1、The customer reported that the system encountered a power off suddenly. All of the VM can not startup after power on.
2、Check FusionAccess portal via remote session and found all VMs are in Stopped status after power on. And the main control components can not start up automatically:HDC/vAG/AD/ITA. It indicated the recovery property was not set for the management VMs. So we need to set the recovery property for HDC-1/HDC-2/vAG-1/vAG-2 on master VRM with the following steps:
A:Searching the vmID of the management VMs in FC portal:(the ID is equal to vmld)
B:Login VRM with putty and set the recovery property of FA_vAGvLB_1/2 and FA_DBHDCWILI/FA_DBHDCWI via command:
sh /opt/galax/vrm/tomcat/script/modifyRecovery.sh vmID true
3.VMs were started successfully after setting recovery property except for the ITA component.
4、Login ITA system via VNC and found Apache tomcat 7 service was stoped.and can not be started up mannually.
5、Checked the tomcat process property(double click) and found account can not login as the password was expired.
that means the ITA account password need be reset.
4、Re-set the login password and keep password as never expire(login AD->ITAServiceUser)
1、ITA component password expired.
2、HDC、vAGvLB component don't have recovery property.
1、reset ITA account password and set the password never expired.
2、Set the recovery property for management VMs.
Follow the installation guide to do perform the delivery and ensure to set the recovery property for the management VMs.
