Set the BIOS password using the BIOS.

You have entered the BIOS. For details, see Accessing the BIOS.

Data

Data preparation is not required for this operation.

Procedure:

1.  Select the Security tab.

The Security screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

NOTE:
Figure 1 shows the Security screen of the RH8100 V3 server. The Power On Password parameter is available on the Security screens of other servers.

2.  Select Administrator Password and press Enter. Set an administrator password.

NOTE:
The administrator password must be a string of 8 to 16 characters, and must contain special characters (including spaces), uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and digits.
The default BIOS password is Huawei12#$.

3.  (Optional) After the setting, select Clear Administrator Password to clear the password.

4.  Press F10.

The Save configuration and exit? dialog box appears.

5.  Select Yes and press Enter to save the setting.
