Step 1 Ping the DataStation server from the database server.
If the the DataStation server cannot be pinged, check the network connection.
Step 2 Verify that the database client is connected to the database server correctly.
On the DataStation server, run the sqlplus icd/icd user password@ipcc (database instance name) command respectively as the database client installation user oracle and DataStation installation user icd to check whether the database is accessible.
Step 3 Check the database connection in the DataStation by performing the following steps:
1. Log in to the DataStation server by using the DataStation client.
2. Choose Node > Database Node. Verify that the network connection is correctly configured.
If the network connection is configured incorrectly, double-click the database node to modify the configurations.

3. Choose Destination > Node name. Verify that a correct database is selected.
If an incorrect database is selected, select one again.
