FAQ-Can the Global IP Address of NAT Server and the IP Addresses of all Interfaces on the USG Reside on Different Network Segments

Publication Date:  2015-07-01 Views:  333 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Can the Global IP Address of NAT Server and the IP Addresses of all Interfaces on the USG Reside on Different Network Segments?
Solution
Yes. The firewalls have no limit on the global IP address of NAT Server as long as the routes to the upstream and downstream devices are correct, because the firewalls translate the destination addresses of the packets to be forwarded (translate the NAT Server global IP address to a private IP address) and then look up the routing table.
