Note the following when creating RAID groups and volumes on the VTL3500:

Creating RAID groups:
  • A RAID group contains a maximum number of 11 disks.
  • The write policy of a RAID group is Write Back.
Creating volumes:
  • A RAID group contains a maximum of 16 volumes.
  • Each volume has a maximum capacity of 2 TB.
  • When you create a volume, deselect Use Write Through for failed or missing battery.
