The N8000 file system fails to be mounted to the Windows 2000 due to incompatibility

Publication Date:  2012-07-18 Views:  241 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
On the Windows 2000 SP4 client of the N8500, the customer found that the network drives cannot be mapped to the file system.
Alarm Information
None
Handling Process
Add an underscore (_) at the beginning of the name of the file system to be mapped, and add a dollar sign ($) at the end of the file system name. For example, if the N8000 provides the CIFS file system whose name is test and its IP address is 192.168.12.123, fill \\192.168.12.123\_test$ in the folder option of the mapped network drive.
Root Cause
The R&D personnel conclude that this problem is caused by the incompatibility with the Windows 2000.
Suggestions
Before you configure the N8000 system, verify the live network environment and the operating system of the client.
