A: There are four states in system software:
IDLE——It’s initial state without patch.
DEACTIVE——The patch has loaded, but not run.
ACTIVE——The patch is in test run state.
RUNNING——The patch is running.
The biggest difference between active state and running state is that after the system reboots, the patch in active state will become deactive state without effect, but the patch in running state will still run, play it’s role in the system. The reason we provide the active patch is that to give a buffer area. It can avoid the system fault due to the wrong patch.
