Customer use H460 topology. And have a separated GK in private network. The same network with SMC2.0. The separated GK is offline when we add it into SMC2.0
GK goes offline
The issue coming from customer is that after added separated GK, it can`t be online in the SMC2.0. we can analyze it as follows,
1. Make sure GK can send the TCP packet normally.
Of course we can check it by capture packets, firstly please check whether the service of separated GK starts. We can go into managerment---services to check, meanwhile check whether there is log file in the GK installation folder. So we can check whether we install it successfully. Then check the configuration file whether the SM-IP was filled in correctly.
2. Then make sure the SMC2.0 can receive the connection packets via 7000 port.
We can filter the resource IP/port to make sure whether we can receive the packets.
Here customer has confirm that they receive packets, but GK still can`t be online. So we can make sure it`s caused by the password. It`s changed from 123456 to Change_Me.
Firstly please notice, the authentication between SMC2.0 and GK. GK will send the TCP connection to SMC2.0 via 7000 port. And it will be limited by this 2 parameters.
#The IP address of the SwitchManager.
#The SC gets the running parameters from this address.
#The password used by the SC for authentication with the SwitchManager.
Here the IP of SM should be filled into the actual IP address. Or the SMC2.0 can`t receive the authentication. The authentication password should be the same as the one which we add GK in the SMC2.0. or the TCP connection can`t succeed.
After we reconfigure the password in both side. The GK goes online. we suggest that be familiar with common diagnose ways.
