A conference is initiated on the web interface of a VP9000 series MCU. A user joins the conference using a ViewPoint 9030 videoconferencing endpoint and presses the arrow keys on the remote control of the endpoint to rotate the camera, but the camera does not rotate. If the key that the user just pressed is the left or right arrow key, the remote site video that the user is watching may change to another one.
Press the Zoom key on the remote control and then the arrow keys to control the camera.
The DTMF function is enabled for VP9000 series MCUs by default. In this case, the arrow keys on the remote control of a videoconferencing endpoint can be used to perform the following conference control operations:
l If a conference is in discussion mode:
− The left and right arrow keys are used to switch between conference site videos in continuous presence panes.
− The up and down arrow keys are used to change the continuous presence layout, for example, to a 4-pane or 8-pane layout.
l When the local site is watching the video of a single remote site, the left and right keys are used to change the remote site video watched by the local end. Assume that the local end is watching remote site A's video. Pressing the left and right keys changes the video to another remote site's video. The sequence in which the other remote sites' videos are displayed depends on the sequence the remote sites joining the conference through the MCU.
If DTMF is not supported, the arrow keys are used to control the camera by default. If DTMF is supported, the arrow keys can be used to control the camera only after you press the Zoom key on the remote control. If you perform no camera control operations within 5 seconds, the functions of the arrow keys change to DTMF conference control again.
l If a conference is initiated on a VP9000 series MCU, press the Zoom key on the remote control of a videoconferencing endpoint before using the arrow keys to control the camera.
l Disable the DTMF conference control function in the command-line interface (CLI).
a. Enter the sys conf-policy conf-ctrl-by-FECC 0 command and press Enter.
b. Enter save and press Enter.
