Issue Description
Site A uses the MA5200F R007 version for deployment. Its networking is: L3 switch?A5200F?403F?C. Users need The VLAN BIND service. So, they must be configured as static users during deployment. However, after the data configuration, these static users fail to access network, and also they cannot PING the gateway interface of the MA5200F.
Alarm Information
none
Handling Process
Handling procedure 1) Check the indicator of the link between the MA5200F and the L2 switch, and all LINK indicators are light. Perform self-loop to the optical fibers on the MA5200F side and at the 2403F side, and the LINK indicator is light too. Therefore, the optical path is normal. 2) Check the 2403F data configuration by HGMP on MA5200F, and the 2403F data configuration is normal. Users can obtain the dynamical IP address normally when the PC of users linking the same port of the 2403F. Therefore, the VLAN configuration on 2403F is normal. 3) Test another PC, and the same problem occurs. Therefore, the client end is normal. 4) Check the MA5200F data configuration with the display static-user command. --------------------------------------------------------------- Port-type Port-ID VLAN-ID IP-address Static-user-state --------------------------------------------------------------- Ethernet 1 100 192.168.0.2 Failure In normal situation, if the static user data configuration on the MA5200F is correctly configured, the Static-user-state should be UPDATED. Therefore, the data configuration of the static users on MA5200F is faulty. Since all data has been configured, the problem maybe the wrong sequence of the data configuration. The correct data configuration of static users should be as follows: Firstly configure the data of the IP address pool. Different from other versions, the R007 version firstly configure the IP addresses of static users in the SECTION address segment and then execute the excluded-ip-address command to exclude IP addresses of static users. Configure the BIND user authentication domain (supposed to be the VLAN domain) and specify the address pool to be used in this domain. Configure the PORTVLAN attribute under the MA5200F and add static users. access-type layer2-subscriber default-domain authentication vlan authentication-method bind static-user 192.168.0.2 192.168.0.2 detect By displaying static-user -------------------------------------------------------------- Port-type Port-ID VLAN-ID IP-address Static-user-state -------------------------------------------------------------- Ethernet 1 100 192.168.0.2 Updated 5) Connect the PC to the L2 switch, and then the user can access the network normally.
Root Cause
1) The physical line is abnormal. 2) MA5200F data configuration is faulty. 3) L2 switch data configuration is faulty. 4) The PC configuration of the client end is faulty.
