Issue Description
A customer buys a USG5320 device, and wants to use as a PPPoE server to let PC terminals at the site automatically obtain IP addresses using resident dialup software.
After the configuration is complete, the dialup reports the 629 error. The connection cannot be established.
The attachment contains the configuration and interconnection debug information.
Alarm Information
None.
Handling Process
Log in to the USG5320 remotely, and find that the configuration is correct. If a USG3040 or USG2160 device is configured the same way, it can serve as a PPPoE server.
According to R&D engineers, the USG5300 series cannot serve as a PPPoE server except one connecting to an LAC.
Root Cause

1.          The configuration is incorrect.

2.          The USG5320 cannot serve as a PPPoE server.

Suggestions
Choose a USG2000 series or USG3000 series to serve as a PPPoE server connecting to PCs. The USG5300 series can be used for PPPoE interconnection between LAC and LNS.
