2.14 TC-A2014 The T3500 Cannot Access the Web Management Interface

Issue Description
Related information about the product and version: the T3500
The T3500 that is configured with the Areca RAID card cannot access the web management interface through the delivery-attached network port of the RAID card.

Handling Process
Step 1     Install the ArcHttp server.

If the ArcHttp server has already been installed, go to the next step.
1.         Place the software CD onto the PC drive and log in to the Linux of the T3500 as root through the SSH.
2.         Copy the ArcHttp server installation package (the path is \RAID\ARC_1680I\archttp) in the software CD to a local directory of Linux of the T3500.
3.         In the local directory of the ArcHttp server installation package, choose either 32-bit Linux or 64-bit Linux and run the following command to operate the ArcHttp server,
./archttp32TCP_PORT or ./archttp64TCP_PORT.
The value of TCP_PORT ranges is any integer of  1 to 65535. If the system has allocated TCP_PORT, the ArcHttp server starts through this port; otherwise, the ArcHttp server starts through the set in archttpsrv.conf or the default value 81.
For example:

./archttp64 1553   ./archttp64 81

4.         After the ArcHttp server console starts, the RAID card is discovered and the information about the ArcHttp server is displayed.

Step 2    
Enter the web management interface of the RAID card in inband mode.
1.         Obtain the IP address of the service network port (run the ifconfig command in Linux to check the IP address of the service network port).
2.         In the address bard of the IE browser, enter the IP address of the service network port plus port number 81, such as http://129.24.120.25:81.
3.         Press the Enter button and enter the username and password. The RAID card management interface is displayed. 
The default username and password are respectively admin and 0000.

Root Cause
The delivery-attached network port of the RAID card cannot be pinged through in the PC, as shown in Figure 2-17. 192.168.1.222 is the IP address of the delivery-attached network port of the RAID card.

The information displayed on the interface shows that the packets send through the network port of the RAID card is lost; which leads to the failure of accessing the web management interface of the RAID card in outband mode.
 
Suggestions
If the web management interface of the RAID card cannot be access in outband mode, you can try to access the web management interface of the RAID card in inband mode.
