The MSM client cannot detect the RAID card of the VTL3500 at a deployment site.
Step 1 Verify that only the client software is installed on the Windows client. Manually select to install the client software only during client installation.
Step 2 Run the following command to start service:
Step 3 Verify that the IP addresses of the client and service end are on the same network segment. If they are in the same network segment, verify that their subnet masks are the same. If the RAID card still cannot be detected, run the following command to add a multi-case address:
Route add 18.104.22.168 dev eth1
eth1 indicates the management network port.
Step 4 Verify that the firewalls on the client and service end are disabled.
Step 5 Use the KVM to log in to the VTL3500 to configure the RAID card.
