Handling Process

• If a disk fails to be formatted, reformat the faulty disk. If the disk fails to be formatted again, it indicates that the disk may be damaged. Check whether a fault occurs on the hardware.
• If multiple disks fail to be formatted, check whether a fault occurs on the hardware or replace the damaged disks. If you are sure the hardware is normal, perform the following operations:
1. Unplug the disks that are successfully formatted according to the information displayed on the screen and the disk location-drive mapping table at the left upper corner of the chassis.
2. Insert the disks that fail to be formatted to the front slots, such as /dev/sdb, /dev/sdc, and /dev/sdd.
3. Format all disks in the chassis.
Do not insert disks that are successfully formatted; otherwise, the disk are formatted again.
4. If certain disks fail to be formatted again, it indicates that the disks are damaged. In this case, replace the damaged disks. After all disks are successfully formatted, insert all disks into the chassis again. The sequence of the disks may be different from the previous sequence.
