Issue Description
Historical videos can be retrieved but cannot be played as the blank screen appears or a message is displayed, stating that videos fail to be played, as shown in the following:

Handling Process
Step 1  If the BSM buffer is too small, set read_cache_size in /hinvs/psm/etc/bsm/bsm.conf to a proper value.
Step 2  If the blank screen is displayed:
  1. Check whether the real-time preview is normal. If no, certain packets are lost when the PU sends videos to the NVR.
  2. Download videos to the local computer. If the videos can be played properly on the local computer, certain packets are lost between the NVR and the Player. Check whether the network is compatible. If the videos cannot be played properly, certain packets are lost during video recording. Check whether the PU is normal.
 
Root Cause
  1. If the message of video play failure is displayed:
  1. The BSM buffer is too small.
  2. If the blank screen is displayed:
    1. Certain packets are lost during video saving. This causes that key frames are lost.
    2. Certain packets are lost during video playback. This causes that key frames are lost.
