Issue Description
Domain users fail to set simple passwords and an error message shown in the following figure is displayed.

Handling Process
1. Log in to the AD and choose Start > Administrative Tools > Group Policy Management to open the group policy manager.
2. Modify the group policy.
a. To set password policies for all PCs in the domain, right-click Default Domain Policy and choose Edit, as shown in the following figure.

b. If the password policy needs to be set for a specific PC OU, for example, OU_XenAPP, right-click OU_XenAPP and choose Create a GPO in this domain, and Link it here. In the displayed New GPO dialog box, enter the policy name, for example, MyPolicy, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.

Right-click MyPolicy and choose Edit, as shown in the following figure.

3. To disable password complexity verification, perform the following operations:
On the Group Policy Management Editor page, choose Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Account Policies > Password Policy. In the right panel, double-click Password must meet complexity requirements.
In the displayed Password must meet complexity requirements Properties dialog box, choose Define this policy setting, select Disabled, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.









4. To set the password minimum length, perform the following operations:
On the Group Policy Management Editor page, choose Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Account Policies > Password Policy. In the right panel, double-click Minimum password Length Properties.
In the displayed Minimum password Length Properties dialog box, choose Define this policy setting, input the password minimum length, and click OK. If the input password minimum length is 0, password is not required.


5. Execute gpupdate /force in the CMD command line on the AD.
6. Deregister the VM or run gpupdate /force in the CMD command line on the PC.
