Issue Description
How to log in to the iMana web user interface (WebUI)?
Solution
This document describes how to log in to the iMana WebUI, using Internet Explorer 8.0 on Windows XP as an example.

NOTICE:
On the WebUI, up to four concurrent users are supported but only one user can use the remote control function at a time.
The system timeout period is 5 minutes by default. That is, if you do not perform any operation on the WebUI within 5 minutes, the system logs out automatically. In this case, enter the user name and password to log in to the WebUI again. You can set the system timeout period based on requirements.
If a user enters incorrect passwords for consecutive five times, the system locks the user. The user can log in to the WebUI again after 5 minutes, or an administrator can unlock the user on the WebUI.
To ensure the system security, change the initial password at the first login and change the password periodically.

1.  Check that the communication is normal between the client and the iMana network port.

2.  Open Internet Explorer, and enter https://ipaddress in the address box. (ipaddress indicates the IP address of the iMana network port.)

3.  In the Security Alert dialog box, click Yes.

4.  On the login page shown in Figure 1, set parameters as follows:
  • Select a language.
  • Enter the user name and password.

NOTE:
The system provides a default user root in the administrator group. The password is Huawei12#$ or root.

  • Log in to the local computer or the user domain.
  • Click Log In. The iMana WebUI is displayed. You can click Reset to reset the information.

NOTE:
You can add new users and change the passwords on either the iMana CLI or the iMana WebUI.
