How packets are captured through the network port of the HD terminal?
Solution
Capturing packets through the IP network

1. Connect the computer to the LAN 2 network port of the HD terminal through a hub or direct connection.

2. Choose Start > Run on the PC, and type telnet IP address of the HD terminal, as shown in Figure 12-2.

3. Press Enter, type the user name and password (default: both are debug), and press Enter.

4. Run the packet capturing tool on the computer and start packet capturing.

5. To start packet capturing through the network port of the HD terminal, run the bsp ipmonitor on command. The following information is displayed:

    start IP monitor data OK

To stop capturing packets, run the bsp ipmonitor off command. The following information is displayed:

    stop IP monitor data OK

Capturing packets through the 4E1 network

Perform the first four steps described in the preceding procedure to start the packet capturing tool. Run the bsp 4E1monitor on command. The following information is displayed:

   start 4E1 monitor data OK

To stop capturing packets, run the bsp 4E1monitor off command. The following information is displayed:

   stop 4E1 monitor data OK
