1. How We Collect & Use Your Personal Data
Personal data means any information which alone or jointly with other information can be used to identify a natural person. Such data is collected when you use Huawei Technical Support Website ("our website") through technologies such as the cookie technology. When you apply to upgrade your account on our website, you need to provide your company name, a Huawei engineer's email address, and remarks to verify your identity.
When you filter lists by user accounts on our website, you need to provide the user accounts. When you need to communicate with other users on our website, you need to provide the users' IDs, and we may obtain the messages you send. When you ask questions about Huawei products online and use self-service functions, you may need to provide your user ID, country, email address, websites you visit, and IP addresses for us to create service requests for problem tracking and device inventory management.
B. Data collected by our website: When you access a website, your account ID, IP address, and access behavior data (such as the operating system type, browser version, time zone, country, start time, end time, page URL, and access duration) will be collected, which is used for operations analysis and user experience improvement of IT systems, for example, PV, UV, and page performance.

1.2 How Huawei Uses Your Personal Data

1.3 How Huawei Collects and Uses Non-personally Identifiable Information
Non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII) is information that cannot be used to identify a particular individual. For example, Huawei will collect statistical data, such as the numbers of visitors to its website. We collect such data to understand how users use our websites, products, and services so that we can improve our services and better satisfy your needs. Huawei will collect, use, process, transfer, or disclose non-PII for other purposes at its own discretion.
We will endeavor to isolate your personal data from non-PII and ensure separate usage of the two types of data. If personal data is combined with non-PII, it will still be treated as personal data during processing.

2.1 Cookies

2.2 Web Beacons and Pixel Tags
In addition to cookies, we may also use other similar technologies on our website, such as web beacons and pixel tags. For example, when you receive an email from Huawei, it contains a click-through URL which links to a Huawei web page. If you click the link, Huawei will track your visit to help us better understand your preferences for products and services and improve our customer services. A web beacon is a transparent graphic image embedded on a website or in an email. We use pixel tags in emails to find out whether an email is opened. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list of Huawei at any time if you do not want to be tracked in this manner.

4. How to Access & Modify Your Personal Data
Under Huawei's terms and conditions, you can manage your personal data, such as your account information, at any time. It is your responsibility to ensure that all personal data submitted to Huawei is correct. Huawei is dedicated to maintaining the accuracy and completeness of personal data and keeping the data up-to-date.
As stipulated by applicable laws, you are entitled to (i) access your specific personal data we collected; (ii) request us to update or correct your personal data; (iii) refuse or restrict us from using your personal data, and (iv) request us to delete your personal data. If you want to execute any of the foregoing rights, please send an email to supportmaster@huawei.com. For security reasons, we may require you to submit a request in writing. If we have reasonable evidence to believe that your request is deceptive, harming others' privacy, or cannot be fulfilled due to other reasons, we will refuse your request.
As stipulated by applicable laws, you are also entitled to withdraw your previous consent on processing your personal data by us at any time, but the withdrawal does not affect the validity of our processing of your personal data prior to the withdrawal, nor affect our subsequent processing of it according to other applicable regulations.

5. How We Protect & Retain Your Personal Data

While we take the utmost care to protect your personal data, please note that no security measures are completely infallible.

For example, access behavior data such as account ID and IP address will be retained for 3 years at maximum, while other personal data will be deleted immediately when users deregister their accounts.
The standards Huawei uses to determine the retention period are as follows: the time required to retain personal data to fulfill the business purposes, including providing products and services, maintaining corresponding transaction records, controlling and improving the performance and quality of products and services, ensuring the security of systems, products, and services, handling possible user queries or complaints, and locating problems; whether the user agrees to a longer retention period; whether the laws, contracts, and other equivalences have special requirements for data retention; other standards. So long as your account is active for use of our service, we will retain your registration information. After you deregister your account, we will stop providing products and services, and delete your personal data unless otherwise stipulated by law.
6. How We Process Children's Personal Data
Our websites, products and services are primarily intended for adults. A child must not create a Huawei account without the consent of a parent or guardian. If a child's personal data is collected with prior parental consent, we will only use or disclose the data as permitted by law, with the explicit consent of the child's parents or guardians, or when necessary for the protection of the child. If we accidentally collect a child's personal data without verified prior consent from the child's parents, we will attempt to delete the data as soon as possible.
7. Third-Party Providers & Their Services
To ensure a positive user experience, you may receive content or web links from third parties other than Huawei and its partners ("third parties"). Huawei does not have the right to control such third parties, but you can choose whether to use the links, view the content and/or access the products or services provided by third parties.
Huawei cannot control the privacy practices and data protection policies of third parties, who are not subject to this Policy. When you submit personal data to such a third party, to protect your privacy, please read the privacy protection policy of the third party carefully.
8. International Transfers of Your Personal Data
Our website serves users around the world. Your personal data will be transferred and stored on servers in China in compliance with the local data protection laws and regulations. We will take measures to ensure our data collection complies with this Policy and applicable laws.
