Rebuild Menu

The Rebuild menu allows you to rebuild RAID data when replacing a failed drive with a new hard drive or hot spare drive.

Rebuilding RAID Data

  1. On the Configuration Utility main screen, choose Rebuild and press Enter.

    The hard drive list is displayed, as shown in Figure 9-83.

  2. Use and to select the hard drive for rebuilding data to, and press the space bar to confirm selection.

    The hard drive name turns red, as shown in Figure 9-84.

    You can rebuild data only from hard drives in the HOTSP, FAIL, or RBLD state.

  3. Press F10 to rebuild data.

    A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  4. Press Y to start the rebuild.

    When the rebuild is complete, "100% Completed" is displayed.

  5. Press Esc to exit the rebuild screen.
