Impact on the System

Before accessing the Configuration Utility main screen, you need to restart the server, which will interrupt services running on the server.


Set the LEGACY mode. For details, see Setting the Legacy Mode.

Log in to the PM8068 Configuration Utility.

  1. During the server startup, if Press <Ctrl><A>for PMC RAID Configuration Utility is displayed, press Ctrl+A.

    The Configuration Utility screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 11-4. Table 11-4 describes the parameters displayed on the screen.

Logical Device Configuration

Creates or deletes arrays, configures array properties, and sets the boot device.

Controller Setting

Configures RAID controller card properties.

Disk Utilities

Queries the current hard drives, formats hard drives, and turns on/off indicators on hard drives.

During the server restart, before entering the RAID configuration screen, you can check information including the firmware version of the current controller card and PCIe slots.
