Deleting an Array

Scenarios

When a server does not need an existing array or requires a new array, the existing array configuration must be deleted to release the hard drives.

Prerequisites

Conditions

  • You have created an array.
  • You have performed the operations in 10.3.2 .

Data

You have backed up data in the array to be deleted.

Procedure

  1. On the configuration tool main screen, select Logical Device Configuration and press Enter.

    The array configuration main screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-128.

  2. Select Manage Array and press Enter.

    The array list is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-129.

  3. Select an array that you want to delete and press Del.

    A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  4. Select Delete and press Enter.

    A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  5. Select Yes and press Enter.
  6. Press Esc when prompted to exit the configuration screen.
  7. Restart the server.
