Expanding the Available Space of a Virtual Drive


If a virtual drive does not occupy the entire capacity of all its member hard drives, you can expand the virtual drive capacity by adjusting the available virtual drive space.


  1. Back up data on hard drives and access the Configuration Utility main screen. For details, see Logging In to the Configuration Utility.
  2. Expand the available space of a virtual drive.

    1. On the VD Mgmt tab, select the virtual drive to be expanded.
    2. Press F2 and choose Expand VD Size from the shortcut menu.

    3. On the screen displayed, set the percentage of available capacity.

      The expansion percentage is the percentage of the remaining capacity.

    4. Select Resize and press Enter.

      The Configuration Utility main screen is displayed.

  3. Check the configuration result.

    On the VD Mgmt tab, view the configuration result.
