Impact on the System

Before accessing the Configuration Utility main screen, you need to restart the server, which will interrupt services running on the server.


  1. Set the LEGACY mode. For details, see Setting the Legacy Mode.
  2. Log in to the PM8060 Configuration Utility.

    1. During the server startup, If Press <Ctrl><A> for PMC RAID Configuration Utility is displayed, press Ctrl+A.

      The Configuration Utility screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-4. Table 10-4 describes parameters displayed on the Configuration Utility screen.

    Logical Device Configuration

    Creates or deletes arrays, configures the array properties, initializes, erases, and scans hard drives, and sets the boot device.

    Controller Setting

    Sets RAID controller card properties, non-simultaneous power-on specifications, and RAID controller card time, and checks the status of the supercapacitor.

    Disk Utilities

    Checks the current hard drives and performs illuminating, formatting, and data checking for specific hard drives.
