Deleting an Array


When a server does not need an existing array or requires a new array, delete the existing array configurations to release hard drives.




Data in the RAID array to be deleted has been backed up.


  1. On the screen shown in Figure 11-3, select Logical Device Configuration and press Enter.

    The Logical Device Configuration screen is displayed.

  2. Select Manage Arrays and press Enter.

    The array list is displayed, as shown in Figure 11-69.

  3. Select the array to be deleted and press Enter.

    The LD list is displayed.

  4. Select the first LD and press Delete.

    A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  5. Enter Y and press Enter.

    The LD list is displayed.

  6. Repeat the preceding operations to delete all LDs from the array.

    Figure 11-69 is displayed. The target array has been deleted from the list.
