Logging In to the Configuration Utility


This section describes how to log in to the Configuration Utility main screen of the PM8060.

Impact on the System

You need to restart the server before logging in to the Configuration Utility main screen. Services running on the server are interrupted.





Data preparation is not required for this operation.


For details about how to log in to the screen by using the remote virtual console, see the user guides of specific servers.


  1. Set the EFI mode. For details, see Setting the EFI/UEFI Mode.
  2. Log in to the Configuration Utility screen of the PM8060.

    The RAID controller card management interface position in EFI/UEFI mode varies with the BIOS platform.

  3. Select PMC maxView Storage Manager and press Enter.

    The PMC maxView Storage Manager screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-55.

  4. Press Enter.

    Device scanning starts, and the controller list is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-56.

    1. Select a controller and press Enter.

      The controller configuration management screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-57. Table 10-13 lists the operations that can be performed on the screen.
