Impact on the System

Before accessing the Configuration Utility, you need to restart the server, which will interrupt services on the server.


  1. Set the EFI Boot Type mode. For details, see Setting the EFI/UEFI Mode.
  2. Log in to the Configuration Utility of the LSI SAS2308 controller card.

    The RAID controller card management interface position in EFI/UEFI mode varies with the BIOS platform.

  3. Select the LSI SAS2308 controller card and press Enter.

    The LSI SAS2 MPT Controller Configuration screen is displayed.

  4. Press Enter.

    The Configuration Options screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 5-85. Table 5-29 describes the parameters on the screen.

    Controller Management

    Configures and manages RAID controller card properties. For example, you can view and modify RAID controller card properties, create and manage RAID arrays, clear current configuration, manage external configuration, and save RAID controller logs.

    Virtual Disk Management

    Configures and manages virtual drives. For example, you can view and modify information of specified virtual drives, and view or delete specified virtual drives.

    Physical Disk Management

    Configures and manages hard drives. For example, you can view hard drive properties and perform operations on hard drives.
