Deleting an Array


When a server does not need an existing array or requires a new array, delete the existing array configuration to release the hard drives.




Data in the array to be deleted has been backed up.


Enter the array property management screen.

  1. On the Controller Operations main screen, select Logical Device Configuration and press Enter.

    The Logical Device Configuration screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-145.

  2. Select Manage Arrays and press Enter.

    The array list is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-146.

  3. Select the array to be deleted and press Enter.

    The array operation list is displayed, as shown in Figure 10-147.

    Delete an array.

  4. Select Delete Array and press Enter.

    A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  5. Press Enter.

    The Logical Drive Deletion success message is displayed.

  6. Press any key to return to the screen shown in Figure 10-146.

    Exit the Configuration Utility.

  7. Press Esc to return to the Boot Manager screen.
