RAID Controller Card Not Healthy in Device Manager
Symptoms
On the Device Manager screen, the message "Some drivers are not healthy" is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-143.
Solution
- Select Some drivers are not healthy and press Enter.
The health status screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-144.
- Select Repair the whole platform and press Enter.
The Critical Message screen is displayed.
- Check the message displayed on the Critical Message screen.
- Some configured disks have been removed from your system or All of the disks from your previous configuration are gone: See Configuration Loss.
- There are offline or missing virtual drives with preserved cache: See Preserved Cache.
- The following VDs have missing disks: See VDs Have Missing Disks.
- Memory/battery problems were detected. The adapter has recovered, but cached data was lost: See Cache Loss.

Configuration Loss
Symptoms
When you select Repair the whole platform to open the Critical Message screen, the message "Some configured disks have been removed from your system" or "All of the disks from your previous configuration are gone" is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-145.
Solution
- Perform different operations based on the message displayed on the Critical Message screen.
- Repair the RAID controller card.
- On the screen shown in Figure 8-145, select Enter Your Input Here and press Enter.
An input box is displayed.
- Enter c, select Yes, and press Enter.
The Driver Healthy Protocol Utility screen is displayed.
- Select Enter Your Input Here and press Enter.
An input box is displayed.
- Enter y, select Yes, and press Enter.
The system displays "Critical Message handling completed. Please exit".
- Press Esc.
A confirmation dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-146.
- Press Y to save the configuration.
- On the screen shown in Figure 8-145, select Enter Your Input Here and press Enter.
- Press Esc to go back to the Figure 8-143 screen.
- Go to the RAID controller card configuration screen and delete RAID controller card configurations.
For details, see Configure.
- Restart the server and check whether the message "The platform is healthy" is displayed on the Device Manager screen.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, contact Huawei technical support.
Preserved Cache
Symptom
When you open the Critical Message screen, the message "There are offline or missing virtual drives with preserved cache" is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-147.
Solution
- On the screen shown in Figure 8-147, select Enter Your Input Here and press Enter.
The screen as shown in Figure 8-148 is displayed.
- Enter any content, select Yes, and press Enter.
The message "Critical Message handling completed. Please exit" is displayed.
- Press Esc.
A confirmation dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-151.
- Press Y to save the configuration.
- Press Esc to go back to the Device Manager screen, as shown in Figure 8-150.
- Select AVAGO MegaRAID<SAS3108> driver Health Protocol Utility and press Enter.
The Dashboard View screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-149.
- Select Discard Preserved Cache and press Enter.
A confirmation dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure 8-152.
- Select Confirm and press Enter.
- Select Yes and press Enter.
The message "The operation has been performed successfully" is displayed.
- Select OK and press Enter.
- Restart the server.
- The Device Manager screen is displayed. Check whether the message "The platform is healthy" is displayed on the screen.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, contact Huawei technical support.
VDs Have Missing Disks
Symptoms
On the Driver Healthy Protocol Utility screen, the message "The following VDs have missing disks" is displayed.
Solution
- Repair the RAID controller card.
- Select Enter Your Input Here and press Enter.
An input box is displayed.
- Enter c, select Yes, and press Enter.
The Driver Healthy Protocol Utility screen is displayed.
- Select Enter Your Input Here and press Enter.
An input box is displayed.
- Enter y, select Yes, and press Enter.
The system displays "Critical Message handling completed."
- Select Enter Your Input Here and press Enter.
- Press Esc.
A confirmation dialog box is displayed.
- Press Y to save the configuration.
- Restart the server and check whether the message "The platform is healthy" is displayed on the Device Manager screen.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, contact Huawei technical support.
Cache Loss
Symptoms
Memory/battery problems were detected. The adapter has recovered, but cached data was lost is displayed on the Driver Healthy Protocol Utility screen.
Solution
- Select Enter Your Input Here and press Enter.
An input box is displayed.
- Enter any content, select Yes, and press Enter.
The message "Critical Message handling completed. Please exit" is displayed.
- Restart the server and check whether the message "The platform is healthy" is displayed on the Device Manager screen.
- If the message is displayed, no further action is required.
- If the message is not displayed, contact Huawei technical support.
