Setting the Boot Device

This section describes how to set the boot device.
If HDD is configured as the system boot device in the BIOS and a RAID configuration exists, the system boots from the first RAID array by default. To change the boot drive, perform the following steps:
Prerequisites
Conditions
- You have accessed the Configuration Utility main screen. For details, see Logging In to the Configuration Utility.
- You have created a RAID array.
Data
Data preparation is not required for this operation.
Procedure
- On the Configuration Utility main screen, choose Configure > Select Boot Drive and press Enter.
The boot drive list is displayed as shown in Figure 9-41.
- Select a drive and press Enter.
When the configuration is complete, "Boot Drive Information Is Saved" is displayed.
- Press Esc to exit the drive list.
- Press Esc to exit the Configuration Utility main screen.
- Restart the server.
