Deleting a RAID Array


Delete the existing RAID array configuration to release hard drives when a RAID array is not required or a new RAID array needs to be configured.


  1. Log in to the server through a remote virtual console and can manage the server on a real-time basis.
  2. Access the Configuration Utility main screen. For details, see Logging In to the Configuration Utility.
  3. Back up data on the RAID array to be deleted.
  4. Delete a RAID array.

    1. On the left of the Configuration Utility main screen, select Virtual Drives.

      The virtual drive selection screen is displayed.

    2. Select Properties and click Go.

      The virtual drive property screen is displayed.

    3. Select Delete under Operations, and click Go.

      A message is displayed, asking you whether to delete the RAID array.

    4. Click Yes.
    5. After the RAID array is deleted, the Configuration Utility main screen is displayed.
