Advanced Adapter Properties Menu

This menu allows you to set advanced device properties and adapter timing properties.

Screen Introduction

Figure 5-80 shows the Advanced Adapter Properties screen.

Whether the controller card contains nonvolatile memory.

IO Port Address

I/O port address.

Chip Revision ID

Chip revision ID.

Setting Advanced Device Properties

    1. Select Advanced Device Properties and press Enter.

      The Advanced Device Properties screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 5-81. Table 5-26 describes the parameters on the screen.

      IO Timeout for Sequential Devices

      Maximum time allowed for an I/O operation of a sequential device.

      IO Timeout for Other Devices

      Maximum time allowed for an I/O operation of other devices.

      LUNs to Scan for Block Devices

      LUNs to be scanned for block devices.

      LUNs to Scan for Block Devices (Removable)

      LUNs to be scanned for removable block devices.

      LUNs to Scan for Sequential Devices

      LUNs to be scanned for sequential devices.

      LUNs to Scan for Other Devices

      LUNs to be scanned for other devices.

      Removable Media Support

      Specifies whether removable media are supported.

      Restore Defaults

      Menu used to restore the default settings.

    2. Use ↑ and ↓ to select an item and press Enter to set the value.

Setting Adapter Timing Properties

  1. Select Adapter Timing Properties and press Enter.

    The Adapter Timing Properties screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 5-82.

    Direct Attached Spinup Delay (Secs)

    Interval between spinups of directly attached devices.

    Direct Attached Max Targets to Spinup

    Maximum number of directly attached devices that can spin up simultaneously.

    Report Device Missing Delay

    Time delay before a missing device is reported.

    IO Device Missing Delay

    Time delay before replying to SCSI Initiator request messages when the addressed device is missing due to the inability to access the target device.
