This section describes the physical, environmental, and power supply specifications of the E9000 chassis.

Cabinet dimensions

  • For a 1200 mm (47.24 in.) deep cabinet, the minimum internal width of the cabinet is greater than 473 mm (18.62 in.); the distance between the front mounting bar and the front inner side is 65 mm (2.56 in.) to 115 mm (4.53 in.); the distance between the front and rear mounting bars is 689 mm (27.13 in.) to 929 mm (36.57 in.). The recommended guide rail is 21240817, which does not occupy extra space.
  • For a 1100 mm (43.31 in.) deep cabinet, the minimum internal width of the cabinet is greater than 473 mm (18.62 in.); the distance between the front mounting bar and the front inner side is 65 mm (2.56 in.) to 115 mm (4.53 in.); the distance between the front and rear mounting bars is 689 mm (27.13 in.) to 929 mm (36.57 in.). The recommended guide rail is 21240817, which does not occupy extra space.
  • For a 1000 mm (39.37 in.) deep cabinet, the minimum internal width of the cabinet is greater than 449 mm (17.68 in.); the distance between the front mounting bar and the front inner side is 65 mm (2.56 in.) to 115 mm (4.53 in.); the distance between the front and rear mounting bars is 500 mm (19.69 in.) to 858 mm (33.78 in.). The recommended guide rail is 21241598, which occupies 1U of space.
NOTE:
  • Ensure that the distance between the front and rear posts does not exceed the 840 mm (33.07 in.) chassis depth. In addition, ensure that sufficient space is reserved inside the cabinet for routing cables between PDUs and other modules.
  • If the cabinet is customized or is to be transported with the guide rails installed, you can find guide rail information in the BOM.
  • The following figure shows the minimum internal width of the cabinet and the distance between the front and rear mounting bars.

The weight of a cabinet without a chassis is about 200 kg (441.00 lb). A cabinet occupies an area of about 1.44 m2 (15.50 ft.2). The following lists the requirements for the floor bearing capacity based on the number of E9000 chassis in a cabinet:

  • One E9000 chassis: 347.2 kg/m2 (0.49 bf/in.2)
  • Two E9000 chassis: 555.5 kg/m2 (0.79 bf/in.2)
  • Three E9000 chassis: 763.9 kg/m2 (1.09 bf/in.2)

If the device is used at an altitude between 900 m (2952.72 ft.) and 5000 m (16404.00 ft.), the highest operating temperature decreases by 1°C (1.8°F) for every increase of 300 m (984.24 ft.) in altitude. At an altitude of over 3000 m (9842.4 ft.), only Titanium PSUs can be used.

Noise

The data listed in the following represents the declared A-weighted sound power levels (LWAd) and declared average bystander position A-weighted sound pressure levels (LpAm) when the server is operating at an ambient temperature of 23°C (73.4°F). Noise emissions are measured in accordance with ISO 7999 (ECMA 74) and declared in accordance with ISO 9296 (ECMA 109).

NOTE:

The actual sound levels generated during server operation vary depending on the server configuration, load, and ambient temperature.

Corrosive gas pollutant
