Backing Up the Configuration Files

Backing Up the Configuration Files

  1. Log in to the switch module and the MM910 CLI.

The default user name and password of the switch module are root and Huawei12#$, respectively.

  2. Obtain the CXxxx Switch Module User Guide at Support > Intelligent Servers > Blade Servers > E9000 Chassis.
  3. Determine the switch module to be replaced.

Figure 6-26 shows the switch module slot numbers.

If the switch module is in a stack, ensure that the stack has been set up by referring to "Checking Whether a Stack Is Set Up Successfully" in the CXxxx Switch Module Configuration Guide. The stack failure affects the configuration files.

  4. Back up configuration files.

    1. Back up the Ethernet, FC plane, and FCoE gateway configuration files saved on the MM910. (Only the CX911, CX912, CX915, CX210, and CX220 have the FC plane configuration file. Only the CX311 has the FCoE gateway configuration file.)

For details, see "Backing Up the Configuration File" or "Backing Up the MXxxx Configuration File by Using Web Tools" in the CXxxx Switch Module User Guide.

    2. If a CX912, CX210, or CX220 is to be replaced, query and record the WWN of the MX210 or MX220 in the switch module. For details, see step 4 in "Transferring Licenses" of the CXxxx Switch Module User Guide.
