Indicators

You can observe the indicators to determine the current status of the MM910. Table 2-3 describes the indicators on the MM910 panel.

Power indicator

Green

  • Off: The MM910 is not powered on.
  • Blinking green: The MM910 is being powered on.
  • Steady green: The MM910 is powered on.

HLY

Health status indicator

Red or green

  • Off: The MM910 is not powered on.
  • Steady green: All components in the chassis are operating properly.
  • Blinking red (at 1 Hz): A major alarm is generated for a component in the chassis. The HLY indicators on the active and standby MM910s are blinking red.
  • Blinking red (at 4 Hz): A critical alarm is generated for a component in the chassis. The HLY indicators on the active and standby MM910s are blinking red.
  • Blinking red (at 5 Hz): The MM910 is not firmly seated in the slot.
NOTE:

It is difficult to identify the difference between blinking frequencies of 4 Hz and 5 Hz. If the indicator is blinking red quickly, check whether the device has been installed properly and then check whether a critical alarm has been generated.

ACT

Active/Standby indicator

Green

  • Off: The MM910 is in the standby state.
  • Steady green: The MM910 is in the active state.

Data transmission status indicator

Data transmission status indicator

Orange

  • Off: No data is being transmitted over the port.
  • Blinking orange: Data is being transmitted over the port.

Connection status indicator

Connection status indicator

Green

  • Off: The port is disconnected.
  • Steady green: The port is connected.
