Information Collection

When both the master and slave chassis are installed, the slave chassis does not support information collection.

GUI

Function

On the Information Collection page, you can collect operating information of the MM910, compute nodes, and switch modules and save the information on the client.

Figure 7-36 shows the information collection relationships and Table 7-108 describes the contents that can be collected.

Collection Module

Collected Content

Chassis

Collects the same files and content as one-click full-collection of the collection source MM. For specific files, see 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Table 7-109.

NOTE:

Full collection of the chassis collects all switch module logs and may take up to 30 minutes.

Supports advanced configuration for collecting information of specified switch module or compute node slots.

MM

One-click full collection: Performs one-click quick information collection and one-click compute node and switch module information collection. For specific files, see 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Table 7-109.

One-click quick collection: Collects the installation status of compute nodes, switch modules, fans, and power supply units (PSUs) and collects system event logs of the MM910. For specific files, see 1 and 2 in Table 7-109.

Log export:

  • Collects operation logs of the MM910.
  • Collects system event logs of the MM910, fans, and PSUs.

Slot1 - Slot32

Log export: Collects system event logs and operation logs of compute nodes. For specific files, see 4 in Table 7-109.

Black box: Saves the system status information and debugging information before the system is reset. For specific files, see 6 in Table 7-109.

Serial port recording: Records the operation information of compute node serial ports. For specific files, see 7 in Table 7-109.

Swi1 - Swi4

Log export: Collects system event logs and operation logs of switch modules. For specific files, see 5 in Table 7-109.

NOTE:
  • The sizes of black box and serial port recording files are generally large. Therefore, the system automatically deletes the files collected for a previous compute node before collecting these files for the next compute node.
  • If the compute node iBMC version is earlier than 2.0, you need to log in to the iBMC to collect logs.
  • When the switching plane log of the switch module exceeds 15 MB or the BMC log of the switch module exceeds 6 MB, the switch plane log and BMC log collected by using the one-click full collection function of the MM are empty.
