(Optional) Configuring the Email Server for Alarm Notifications


Configure the email server to enable alarm notifications to be sent to specified personnel via email.

You can configure the email server using the MM910 WebUI or CLI. The following describes how to use the MM910 WebUI to configure the email server. For details about the configuration based on the MM910 CLI, see MM910 Management Module V100R001 Command Reference.





Table 4-11 describes the data that you need to obtain before performing this task.

Example Value

SMTP server address

IP address or domain name of the server that provides the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) service.


Email address for sending alarm emails.

Target email address

Email address for receiving alarm emails.


  1. Log in to the WebUI of the active MM910.

    For details, see Logging In to the MM910 WebUI.

  2. Choose System Management > System Settings > Alarm Email Settings.

    The page shown in Figure 4-16 is displayed.

  3. Click Edit.
  4. Set SMTP function to On.
  5. Set the parameters.

    For details about the parameters, see Table 7-100.

  6. Click Save.
