Slot: Overvoltage (Major, PCIE SWB Vcore)

Description

Alarm message:

Voltage above upper major threshold

or

The arg1 PCIe switch arg2 VDD voltage (arg3 V) exceeds the overvoltage threshold (arg4 V).

This alarm is generated when the VDD voltage of the PCIe switch chip exceeds the overvoltage threshold.

This alarm is generated by the following sensor:

PCIE SWB Vcore

Attribute

Alarm ID

Alarm Severity

Parameters

Name

Meaning

arg1

Component where the PCIe switch is located. For example, mainboard or HDD backplane N.

arg2

Slot number of the PCIe switch.

arg3

Current reading of the sensor.

arg4

Alarm threshold.

Impact on the System

The abnormal PCIe card voltage may cause the system or related services to break down.

Possible Causes

The PCIe card power supply is faulty

Procedure

  1. Power off the compute node and remove it from the chassis.

You can power off the compute node using either of the following methods:
    • On the HMM CLI, run the smmset -l bladeN -d powerstate -v poweroff command.
    • On the HMM WebUI, choose PSUs & Fans > PSU Management > Power Control, and click the power control button to power off the compute node.

  2. Replace the PCIe card. Then check whether the alarm is cleared

For details about how to replace the PCIe card, see the server user guide.
    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Information Collection, and collect logs.
  4. Contact Huawei technical support.
