Description

Alarm message:

Voltage above upper major threshold

or

Swtich mezzanine card arg1 voltage (arg2 V) at arg3 detection point exceeds the overvoltage threshold (arg4 V).

This alarm is generated when the voltage of the mezzanine card detection point exceeds the overvoltage threshold.

This alarm is generated by the following sensors:

  • Mezz SYS 1V
  • Mezz SYS 1.5V
  • Mezz SYS 1.8V
  • Mezz SYS 2.5V
  • Mezz SYS 3.3V
  • Mezz SYS 12V
  • Mezz STBY 3.3V

Impact on the System

When devices work with a upper voltage, the component performance deteriorates, the device service life shortens, which causes system breakdown.

Possible Causes

The mezzanine card in the switch module is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Back up service data of the mezzanine card, switch over services to the standby network.
  2. Replace the mezzanine card. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

For details about how to replace the switch module, see the E9000 Server User Guide..
