Impact on the System

The temperature of the system and components is high and components cannot operate properly or are event burnt. If the fan speed is 100%, the noise is loud.

Possible Causes

  • The fan is blocked and stops rotating.
  • The fan signal cable is disconnected.
  • The communications channels between the MM910 and the fans are faulty.
  • The fan is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Exchange the positions of the faulty fan module and a normal fan module. Then check whether the alarm is generated for the original or normal fan module.

    • If the alarm is generated for the faulty fan module, go to 2.
    • If the alarm is generated for the normal fan module, go to 3.

  2. Replace the fan module. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Information Collection, and collect logs.
