Impact on the System

When a voltage sag occurs, the power cannot be properly supplied to the system, or the server powers off, which interrupts services.

Possible Causes

  • The power supplies in the equipment room are sufficient for server operation.
  • The compute node is faulty.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the PSUs meet power requirement of the entire chassis.

    • If yes, go to 4.
    • If no, go to 2.

  2. Check whether the PSUs are fully configured.

    • If yes, go to 6.
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. Install more PSUs. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 4.

  4. Reseat the compute node. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 5.

  5. Replace the mainboard. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 6.

  6. On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Information Collection, and collect logs.
  7. Contact Huawei technical support.
