Alarm message:

Power supply failure

This alarm is generated when an error of the power soft-start circuit on the mainboard causes a 12 V undervoltage fault.

This alarm is generated by the following sensor:

12V VDDQ Low

Impact on the System

Power cannot be properly supplied to the system, or the server powers off, which interrupts services.

Possible Causes

The mainboard is faulty.


  1. Reseat the compute node. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 2.

  2. Replace the mainboard. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. On the HMM WebUI, choose System Management > Information Collection, and collect logs.
  4. Contact Huawei technical support.
